Film Not in the English Language Nominations

7 January 2010

The nominations for the Film Not in the English Language Award, to be presented at the Orange British Academy Film Awards in 2010, were announced today.

The Film Not in the English Language nominees are announced today ahead of the announcement of the nominations in other categories, which will take place later this month.

This early announcement of the nominations allows the members a longer period to view the five films in contention and gives a greater profile to this year’s foreign language films.

The nominees in the Film Not in the English Language category:

Broken Embraces Broken Embraces
Coco Before Chanel Coco Before Chanel
Let the Right One in Let the Right One In
A Prophet A Prophet
White Ribbon The White Ribbon

The membership at large will vote to decide the winner, to be announced at the Orange British Academy Film Awards on Sunday 21 February 2010 at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden.
