GEORGE CLOONEY: Well, you know, I got to say, Ben, if this is your second act, I don’t know what the hell you are going to do for a third act, because you are just — you are remarkable at what you do. You are smart and you know what you want, but more importantly you love what you are doing, and I can’t tell you what an honour it has been to work with you.
And Grant — you know, 30 years ago Grant and I were in a play together in Los Angeles, we were both broke and he got an episode of Happy Days and loaned me 100 bucks to get head shots, which — yeah, I still use those — and we’ve been partners ever since. And we have failed a tremendous amount of our careers, over a time, which were great lessons and things, but it’s such — I’m so proud to be able to stand up here and introduce you to a man who I believe to be the best producer I’ve ever worked with and a dear, dear friend and it is Grant.
GRANT HESLOV: Thank you. We would like to thank BAFTA for this — this is, wow, this is amazing. Of course, all the folks at Warner Brothers, and there is a whole — a whole litany of people to thank that we will do on our own.
I want to turn to Ben, director of this film, and I want to say thank you for coming on board, thank you for taking us on this journey and it has been amazing.
I also want to say how much I love my beautiful wife Lisa and our kids Maya and Olivia. Thank you very much everyone, really.
BEN AFFLECK: That is what I was going to whisper in Grant’s ear before he got up.
I do — every single person here, who is part of BAFTA, who has welcomed us, who has been so kind to us, who clearly has no need to, and when I was talking to some of people from the studio and they were like, “You know what, we never win”, so this has been an incredible wonderful warm surprise and everyone has been so nice. So we do want to thank you, BAFTA, and the — Warner’s international team, Desiree, Josh — everybody, I — just everybody. Thank you.
GRANT HESLOV: Thank you.
