DAVID O. RUSSELL: This is a wonderful year for film and a wonderful year for writers, and I want to tip this to every writer in this room.
All the films are very different and I think it is hard to put them all together. Our film is about emotion and people, and this is for every family that ever faced those emotions or those struggles, there’s millions of families that do it every day.
I want to thank Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver, Chris Tucker, our entire cast. I want ot thank Harvey Weinstein for believing in us.
