CAROLINE FLACK:  Someone I really wanted to meet, star of Life of Pi is standing next to me now.

Suraj Sharma, how are you now?

SURAJ SHARMA.    I am very good.  How are you?

Q.        I’m very good.  What was the British reception like tonight?

A.        Oh, they are excited.  It’s a lot of fun.  Crazy, but that’s always a good thing, so …

Q.        Who are you wearing tonight?

A.        Dolce & Gabbana.

Q.        You look lovely.  Warm.

A.        Thank you.

Q.        Firstly, congratulations on the film.  Hey, last time I saw you, you were lying in a hospital bed telling stories about a tiger, now you look completely different?  Did you enjoy it?

A.        Oh year, it was an unreal experience.  This is an unreal experience I am going through!  The best goal(?) event(?) you could imagine, so … It’s good!

Q.        On top of that, you have been nominated for Rising Star.  Can you contain that excitement?

A.        It is unreal, it is something I would have never in my wildest dreams have imagined, I am so excited and really proud that this happened and I am really happy it happened.  Wow.

Q.        As we stand here, it starts to snow.  Things could not get better.  Tell me a bit about your audition, because you weren’t supposed to go to that audition, originally, were you?

A.        My brother was going for the auditions.  I kind of accompanied him, and — you know, they just told me to give it a shot, really, and I did, got lucky, multiple times, and it worked out, really.  I ended up going to Taiwan, had the best — best possible journey I could ever imagine.

Q.        Has your brother forgiven you?

A.        My brother has forgiven me.

Q.        Good.  Listen, it is lovely to meet you, have a great night tonight, and well done for your nomination.  Good luck tonight.
