London, 7 February 2014: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced that the EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday 16 February will be broadcast in 167 territories, in addition to the United Kingdom, reflecting the significant popularity of the BAFTA ceremony across the world. BAFTA retains a strong global presence with transmissions scheduled across Africa, Asia, North America (including Canada), Latin America, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand; this year, television audiences in Greece will be able to tune into the Awards for the first time.

The EE British Academy Film Awards will take place on 16 February at The Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden. Stephen Fry will be returning to host this year’s ceremony, which will be broadcast exclusively on BBC One in the UK and in all major territories around the world. On the night, www.bafta.org will also feature red carpet highlights, photography and winners interviews, as well as dedicated coverage on its social networks including Facebook (/BAFTA), Twitter (@BAFTA / #EEBAFTAs), Tumblr and Instagram.
