BAFTA in Scotland invites students and emerging professionals in the moving image industry to submit first-time films, documentaries, animation, original music, entertainment programmes and games works for consideration. Entries should be submitted by Monday 14 January 2013.

The annual awards ceremony recognises, inspires and celebrates emerging practitioners from all over the country and gives up-and-coming film industry talent an all-important platform to showcase their work to the wider industry.

Last year’s winners included Ainslie Henderson, who was awarded Best Animation for his film It’s About Spending Time Together and Anna Ginsburg whose stop-frame animation, How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep? won Best New Work.

Jude MacLaverty, Director of BAFTA in Scotland said: “We are really excited about launching this year’s New Talent Awards. There is an incredible amount of emerging talent in Scotland. Last year we had a fantastic response and the quality and diversity of the entries we receive continues to impress us each year. We are looking forward to seeing what new voices the 2013 awards will unveil.”
