London, 19 September: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced a new partnership with Deutsche Bank for its latest series of ‘BAFTA A Life in Pictures’ interviews. The first takes place with esteemed actor Dustin Hoffman, who discusses his career on stage at BAFTA’s headquarters in London on Tuesday 16 October.

‘BAFTA A Life in Pictures’ is a long-running series of interviews in which some of the film world’s leading actors and directors share insights into the experiences that helped them hone and develop their crafts.

A three-time BAFTA winner and five-time nominee, Dustin Hoffman’s acting career spans five decades. A famously exacting performer, he is of a generation of character actors renowned for reinvigorating their craft on the big screen.

This year marks Hoffman’s directorial debut film, Quartet, based on Ronald Harwood’s stage play of the same name, starring Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins, Sheridan Smith, and Michael Gambon. The film is produced by Stewart Mackinnon, who with his late partner Mark Shivas originally developed the film with BBC Films, and Finola Dwyer.

Public tickets will go on sale on Friday 28 September. Visit www.bafta.org.
