A British make up artist who prepared Queen Elizabeth II for the first televised Royal Christmas Message in 1957 during her tenure as head of make up at the BBC, Manderson worked across film and television and received BAFTA nominations for her work in both, for The Killing Fields (1984) and Porterhouse Blue (1987) respectively.
