An American designer and concept artist who began his career designing cars for Ford, Mead later found himself envisioning futuristic vehicles and environments for science-fiction movies. He notably worked on Star Trek - The Motion Picture (1979), Blade Runner (1982), TRON (1982), Aliens (1986), Tomorrowland (2015) and Blade Runner 2049 (2017).
