An iconic star of Bengali cinema, Sen’s career in film spanned from 1953-1976, after which she became famously reclusive. Sen made her debut alongside Uttam Kumar in Sharey Chuattar (1953) and went on to form a memorable screen partnership with the actor in a number of films including Harano Sur (1957) and Saptapadi (1963).
