A British actor and writer, who played the character of Marcus Christie in more than 70 episodes of EastEnders (1990-2015). Although he made his debut in Up Pompeii! (1970), it wasn’t until he landed a regular role on daytime soap Together (1980-1981) that he came to prominence. Further recurring roles included Gruey (1988-1989), The House of Elliott (1992-1994), The Brittas Empire (1994-1997) and The Infinite Worlds of H.G. Wells (2001). Churchett also enjoyed several writing credits, including for Inspector Morse (2000), Marple (2004-2008) and Inspector Lewis (2006-2011).
