A British production designer, who was prolific on UK television from the 1960s through to the 1990s, garnering more than 50 credits over his career. Among the most notable were Doctor Who (1964-1965), The Forsyte Saga, Vanity Fair (both 1967), The First Churchills (1969), The Golden Bowl (1972), Private Schulz (1981), Tales of the Unexpected (1982-1988), Alice in Wonderland (1985) and Devices and Desires (1991). He was nominated for a BAFTA for his work on Roads to Freedom (1970), based on the novels of Jean-Paul Sartre.
