A British comedian and actor known for his marathon stage performances, Dodd was a household name thanks to his never-ending arsenal of gags, distinct appearance and variety stylings. He was a regular on television for decades on shows and specials including The Ken Dodd Show (1959-1969), Ken Dodd and the Diddymen (1969-1972).
