Shinobu Hashimoto

A Japanese writer best known for his collaborations with director Akira Kurosawa, Hashimoto’s first screenplay was the acclaimed and hugely influential Rashomon (1950). Their work together spanned some 20 years and included films such as Ikiru (1952), Seven Samurai (1954), Throne of Blood (1957) and The Hidden Fortress (1958).
