A celebrated British stand-up comedian, writer and occasional actor, who is perhaps best known for his role as team captain on quiz show 8 Out of 10 Cats (2005-2015) and its Countdown spin-off (2012-2021). As well as guesting on several other popular series, he also wrote and starred in 15 Stories High (2002-2004), which was expanded from his own radio series 15 Minutes of Misery (1998-1999), and co-wrote for Is It Bill Bailey? (1998) and the film This Filthy Earth (2001).
