A British journalist, television reporter and executive, who served as director of corporate affairs for BAFTA and worked on the charity’s membership publications, BAFTA News (1996-1999) and The Academy Magazine (2000-2001). Having worked at the BBC as a reporter and court correspondent since 1957, Allison joined the royal household as HM The Queen’s press secretary (1973-1978). He would later become controller of sport and outside broadcasts for Thames Television, then its director of corporate affairs (1980-1985), before joining ITN as royal correspondent in the 1990s.
