A British animator who helped bring many of Raymond Briggs’ works to life on screen, Mainwood worked on The Snowman (1982), When the Wind Blows (1986), Father Christmas (1991) and most recently directed Ethel & Ernest (2016). His other notable credits included Heavy Metal (1981), Stressed Eric (2000) and Meg and Mog (2003-2004).
