A British actor known for portraying Winston Churchill on more than a half dozen occasions throughout his career, Hardy also appeared as Cornelius Fudge in four Harry Potter films (2002-2007). He received BAFTA nominations for his roles in All Creatures Great and Small (1978-1990) and Winston Churchill: The Wilderness Years (1981).
