An American actor whose breakthrough role came opposite Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor in Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967), Forster was best known for his Oscar-nominated and career-reviving turn in Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown (1997). His later notable credits included Mulholland Drive (2001), The Descendants (2011) and Twin Peaks: The Return (2017).
