A British actor who played a number of teen roles on film during the 1940s, Lyon then found success on the radio and television sitcom Life with the Lyons (1950-1961). Richard starred alongside his family - Ben Lyon, Bebe Daniels and Barbara Lyon – in the scripted show which expanded on their real lives.
