An American actor and stand-up comedian, who is perhaps best known for playing a fictionalised version of himself in more than 40 episodes of US sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000-2024). Before this, Richard Lewis had enjoyed a long run on another sitcom Anything But Love (1989-1992). Other notable small screen credits included Daddy Dearest, The Larry Sanders Show (both 1993), Hiller and Diller (1997-1998), 7th Heaven (2002-2004), Two and a Half Men (2004) and Everybody Hates Chris (2006). Film roles included Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993) and Leaving Las Vegas (1995).
