A British actor, who had a long career in theatre, film and television. Richard Franklin’s most prolific smallscreen roles were on Doctor Who (1971-1983), where he played recurring character Captain Mike Yates, and Emmerdale (1988-1989) as Denis Rigg. Other notable credits included Crossroads (1969), The First Days of Spring (2009), Twilight of the Gods (2013) and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016).
