An American actress whose career was at its peak through the 1940s and 1950s, Fleming rose to prominence in Spellbound (1945), The Spiral Staircase (1946) and Out of the Past (1947). She went on to star in the likes of Cry Danger (1951), Slightly Scarlet (1956) and Gunfight at the OK Corral (1957).
