An Australian producer and writer who launched successful soap operas on both sides of the world, Watson introduced Crossroads to Britain in 1964 and created Neighbours back in his homeland in 1985. His other notable credits included The Young Doctors (1976-1983), Prisoner: Cell Block H (1979-1986).
