A British writer who was best known for his work on Doctor Who (1985-1987), Baker wrote three serials for the sci-fi series including The Seventh Doctor’s first adventure, alongside his wife and writing partner Jane. The pair also notably created the children’s programme Watt on Earth (1991-1992).
