A British broadcaster and one of the leading voices on gardening for television for four decades. Seabrook first appeared on BBC radio’s In Your Garden (1965-1970) before taking the step up to television with guest appearances on various horticultural shows. It was on Pebble Mill at One (1975-1986) that he first came to mainstream prominence, leading to him being made the lead presenter on Gardeners’ World (1976-1979), fronting more than 120 episodes of the BBC’s flagship gardening show. Seabrook also hosted The Victory Garden (1975-1997) for PBS and had a regular gardening column for The Sun newspaper from 1977. He was appointed an MBE in 2005.
