A British production designer who worked on eighteen James Bond movies between Goldfinger (1963) and Casino Royale (2006), Lamont received a BAFTA nomination for his work on the latter after graduating from draughtsman, set decorator and art director to production designer on the series. He received further nominations for Aliens (1986) and Titanic (1997).
