A British actress whose best known role came opposite Jack Warner and Dirk Bogarde in the BAFTA-winning crime thriller The Blue Lamp (1950), the film that was the inspiration for Dixon of Dot Green. Evans’ other notable roles came in Penny and the Pownall Case (1948) and Calling Bulldog Drummond (1951).
