Moving from television where he worked on popular series such as The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (1965-66), Abrahams scored his biggest success as associate producer on The Planet of the Apes (1968). He also produced a sequel, Beneath The Planet of the Apes (1970), based upon a story he had devised.
