A British DJ who presented shows for BBC Radio 1 and Capital, Smith also became a popular TV presenter on shows including Top of the Pops (1982-1988), The Late, Late Breakfast Show (1984-1986) and Trick or Treat (1989). After retiring from presenting in 2003 Smith launched Flying TV, a company that provided aerial filming for producers.
