Michael Tuchner

A German director who moved to Britain as a child, Tuchner’s prolific career saw him direct over 40 movies for the big and small screen including Villain (1971), The Likely Lads (1976) and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1982). He received four BAFTA nominations, winning for the BBC Play For Today, Bar Mitzvah Boy (1977).
