An American producer who joined New Line Cinema in 1984 as an entertainment lawyer, Lynne played a key role in taking the company public and eventually became co-chairman and co-CEO in 2001. He played a key role in shepherding The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001-2003) to the screen and oversaw huge hits including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990).
