An American actor, who found fame as gangster Omar Little in five seasons of The Wire (2002-2008), followed by 56 episodes as Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire (2010-2014). He was four times nominated for a performance Emmy, for Bessie (2015), The Night Of (2016), When They See Us (2019) and Lovecraft Country (2020), with a further nomination in 2018 as one of the producers of Vice. Film roles included Gone Baby Gone (2007), The Road (2009), 12 Years a Slave (2013), Inherent Vice (2014) and Motherless Brooklyn (2019).
