An American singer whose voice was iconic yet uncredited on countless classic musicals, Nixon's singing was dubbed onto The King and I (1956), West Side Story (1961) and My Fair Lady (1964). She appeared in The Sound of Music (1965) and sang on the Disney animations Cinderella (1950) and Mulan (1998).
