An American producer, distributor and executive who was known as a champion of independent films, Urman executive-produced films including Monster’s Ball (2001) and Murderball (2005). He oversaw the release of films such as Half Nelson (2006), Taxi to the Dark Side (2007) and What We Do in the Shadows (2014).
