Louise Willcox

Sound Supervisor

A British sound supervisor, sound recordist and dubbing mixer, who spent most of her working life at the BBC. Louise Willcox started at BBC Pebble Mill in Birmingham as one of only two women in a 54-strong unit, working across radio and television, both in studio and on outside broadcasts. Over the next 25 years, she worked in the audio unit on such shows as The Archers, Pebble Mill at One, Jane Eyre, A Very Peculiar Practice, Dizzy Heights, Doctors, The Really Useful Show, Housecall, The Pebble Mill Show, Coast, BBC Sports programming and much more. After being made redundant in 2006, she went freelance through DWR Associates, which she set up with her husband. From 2005-2021, she was the lead sound supervisor for the BAFTA-winning Autumnwatch, Winterwatch and Springwatch.
