A British journalist and broadcaster whose career began in BBC local radio, MacKean presented the news on BBC Breakfast before joining Newsnight (1989-2013) as the programme’s Northern Ireland Correspondent. After going freelance she worked on a number of projects for Channel 4’s Dispatches (2013-2015) including the acclaimed ‘Hunted’.
