A British director, writer and producer, who specialised in making compelling documentaries. He won a BAFTA for Mummifying Alan: Egypt’s Last Secret (2011), which also picked up a Royal Television Society award. Scott started out at Granada before becoming freelance in the 2000s. His other works included My Brilliant Brain (2007), Nova (2011), Horizon episode ‘How Big is the Universe?’ (2012), The Secrets of Quantum Physics (2014), The Great British Sex Survey (2016), King Arthur’s Britain: The Truth Unearthed (2018) and Universe episode ‘The Milky Way: Island of Light’ (2021).
