Keith Baxter

A British actor, who is best known for his celebrated theatre work although he did star in more than 30 productions for the screen. Keith Baxter graduated from RADA before making his film debut in The Barretts of Wimpole Street (1957), followed by an uncredited role in Peeping Tom (1960). Perhaps his best known screen role is as Prince Hal in Orson Welles’ film adaptation of Chimes at Midnight (1965). He also appeared in the films Ash Wednesday (1973) and Golden Rendezvous (1977). On television, he starred in three plays for ITV Television Playhouse (1957-1960), six for ITV of the Week (1958-1960) and two for BBC Sunday Night Play (1963), as well as episodes of Love Story (1968), The Avengers (1969), Dial M for Murder (1974) and Merlin (1998).
