An Irish actor best known in his home country for playing Robbie Quinn in Fair City (2014-2019), Shiels also starred in Hollywood productions including Batman Begins (2005) and Haywire (2011). Away from the screen he produced work for the stage, founding the theatre companies Semper Fi and Theatre Upstairs through which he served as a mentor to emerging talent.
