A British actor, who will be familiar to many fans of genre cinema. Steiner is probably best known for his role as Longinus in Caligula (1979), one of three films he made with director Tinto Brass, namely Madam Kitty (1976) and Paprika (1991). Other notable roles include Marat/Sade (1967), Work is a Four Letter Word (1968), White Fang, La villeggiatura (both 1973), Violent Rome (1975), Shock, A Man Called Blade (both 1977), The Salamander (1981) and Tenebrae (1982).
