John Howard Davies

A former child actor familiar from the title role in David Lean’s Oliver Twist (1948), Davies became the influential BAFTA winning comedy director of Monty Python’s Flying Circus (1969) and Fawlty Towers (1975). He also directed The Good Life (1975-78) and served in executive roles at the BBC and Thames.
