An Icelandic composer whose work often distinctly blended traditional orchestrations with electronic elements, Jóhannsson worked as a solo musician in addition to his acclaimed film and television scores for the likes of Prisoners (2013) and The OA (2016). He received BAFTA nominations for his work on The Theory of Everything (2014), Sicario (2015) and Arrival (2016).
