An American actress primarily associated with playing “good girl” roles during Hollywood’s Golden Age, Leslie had been performing since the age of nine. She starred as Fred Astaire’s dance partner in The Sky’s The Limit (1943) and other key credits included Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942) and Sergeant York (1941).
