Jimmy Perry

A British writer who alongside his writing partner, David Croft, created one of Britain’s most enduring sitcoms in Dad’s Army (1968-1977), Perry also wrote the show’s iconic theme tune. The duo also found success with a variety of later sitcoms including It Ain’t Half Hot Mum (1974-1981) and Hi-de-Hi! (1980-1988).
