An American director, writer, actor and occasional producer, who is best known as a horror director, having helmed Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990), Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings (1993) and two entries in the Puppet Master franchise, namely films 4 (1993) and 5 (1995). Known for balancing horror with humour, Jeff Burr’s other genre films also included From a Whisper to a Scream (1987), Stepfather II: Make Room for Daddy (1989), Night of the Scarecrow (1995), Frankenstein & The Werewolf Reborn! (2005), Devil’s Den (2006) and American Resurrection (2022). Non-horror fare included Eddie Presley (1992), Johnny Mysto: Boy Wizard (1997) and Straight Into Darkness (2004). Burr also acted, earning 30 performance credits in total.
