A British broadcaster and presenter, who was best known as a DJ on the radio (both BBC and commercial) but did occasionally appear on British television, including as a regular host of the long-running music charts show Top of the Pops (1982-1988). In 1985, she was selected to be one of the lead presenters of the British coverage of Live Aid. She guested on various popular quiz and entertainment shows, including Blankety Blank (1984-1990), Countdown (2001) and Pointless (2012, 2016).
