An American actress, who was a popular child star during the height of Hollywood’s golden age. She burst onto the scene as Shirley Temple’s young rival in Bright Eyes (1934), before going on to make three to five films a year for the next decade. Post-World War II, she did not work as consistently, but did land supporting roles in Giant (1956) and The Heart is a Rebel (1958), as well as guest spots in various popular television series.
