James Higgins MBE

Film Executive

A British film executive, who spent the last 30 years as a director at Eon Productions. He started his industry career at MGM in 1951, moved to Paramount/CIC in the 1970s and then headed up the UK arm of United International Pictures through the 1980s. As well as working at Eon, he served at various industry bodies through the 1990s, including the Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT) (1992-2000), The Children’s Media Foundation (1992-1998) and as president of the Society of Film Distributors (now known as the Film Distributors’ Association) (1991-1998).
