A French actor, writer and producer, who was BAFTA-nominated for Les Choristes (The Chorus, 2004). Before this, Perrin had already carved out a very successful film career, mostly on the continent, with the likes of La Ragazza con la Valigia (Girl with a Suitcase, 1961), Un Uomo a Metà (Half a Man, 1966), Les Demoiselles de Rochefort (The Young Girls of Rochefort, 1967), Z (1969), for which he was Oscar nominated, Cinema Paradiso (1988) and Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001). His other Oscar nomination came for documentary Le Peuple Migrateur (Winged Migration, 2001), which he co-wrote, co-directed, co-produced and narrated.
